Earth Element Explorer does not collect, store, share or sell personal information. It has no accounts, sign-in, analytics, advertising or tracking, and it does not ask for your location, contacts, camera or any other device permission.
The app keeps a few display preferences in your device's local storage (for example, a map access token if you choose to enter one). They never leave your device, and uninstalling the app or clearing site data removes them.
All mineral, production, reserve and trade data is bundled with the app. To draw 3D terrain and satellite imagery, the app requests map tiles from Cesium ion (Cesium GS, Inc.), which serves Microsoft Bing Maps imagery. As with any web request, those services receive your device's IP address and the map area being requested. Their handling of that information is covered by their own policies: cesium.com/legal/privacy and privacy.microsoft.com.
The website version is hosted on Cloudflare Pages and also loads the CesiumJS library from jsDelivr and fonts from Google Fonts; those providers likewise receive standard request information such as IP address. The mobile app bundles these files and does not contact jsDelivr or Google Fonts.
The app is suitable for all ages and collects no information from anyone, including children.
Any change to this policy will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
